Deadline for returning the costume is 19/8(Fri).

Please note that our programme for Gala Concert is Stars and Echoes of the Lost World. Please memorise the two songs and be familiar with the movements.
Also we will be performing on 11/9 (Sun), which means the last rehearsal is 9/9 (Fri). You now have more than one month to arrange your schedule. The RULE is if you're not coming for last rehearsal you CANNOT perform.

WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANY ABSENT/ LATE SLIP THAT CANNOT BE HANDED IN. Don't just bring out your phone and show a photo, this is not acceptable.

If you have wineglasses with suitable pitch for Stars (especially D,E, and F#), kindly bring them back!

Look at your calendars.
In one month we'll be having one of the most important annual performance - pretour concert, and then few more days to go we'll be off to tour.
But all we got are tons of unready pieces and dance steps that we are unfamiliar with. 
Are you confident that we can be ready to perform in only a month time?
We highly doubt that. UNLESS all of us can spend more time in practicing the songs and dance steps- mark down all the comments Ms Fok made during lesson and spend time rehearsing the pieces on your own- DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES AGAIN AND AGAIN. 
Remember what the choreographer teaches us and practice the dance steps yourselves. Don't wait till the next time we practice and then you find out that you forgot all the dance steps already. 
Classcom are organizing 3 voluntary dance sessions:

29/6 4-6pm
1/7 930-10am
Although they are on a voluntary basis, we really hope that all of us can join and practice together, especially Stay in Time, it is hard to practice if many of us are missing. 
We really need all your commitment so that we can make improvements together!
Many of us have ended the final exams already and I hope that from now on everyone of us could be 100% devoted to the choir.
We won't check on everyone's progress one by one and figure out who needs what help. It's your responsibility take the initiative and seek help. 
If you have any problem please really come and find us! We will not be mad for you not knowing clearly what to do but we will get mad when we discover that you don't know what to do but you didn't seek help. 
We are always ready to help so please please take the initiative to ask if you have any problem. We will try our best to do what we can do so please talk to us! Let us know your problems and we'll solve them together!

Please practice the dance steps of Flamenco Flamingo at home on your own. If you have any questions about the dance steps, feel free to ask class committee!

Please make sure that you don't leave anything behind after the rehearsals. If we find your belongings left in the room, one mark will be deducted from your group.

5) $22800 cheque
6) $400 cheque (not applicable to those who already have the dark blue jacket)

This is the mark-counting system for tour (based on groups)
Regular Friday rehearsals
EVERYONE (including non-tour members)
Late (without late slip) / absent (with absent slip) -1 mark
Absent (without absent slip) -2 marks
*double count for group leaders and assistant group leaders
Extra practices
Basically the same as regular Friday rehearsals, but an extra mark will be added for groups which a non-tour member comes back for rehearsal.
*Please be reminded that there will be punishment for the losing group each lesson, as well as an overall punishment for the losing group from now till tour.
**this system is implemented to TRAIN OUR RESPONSIBILITY, so marks are not that important but our change in attitude.

We believe that there are both shock and surprise when we see the group list today. Remember that chances are hard-earned and they don't always knock on our door. Cherish every opportunities we have and make improvements!

We believe most of us had already tried our best in the first audition, all we can do is to wait for the result. No matter how we've performed yesterday, make improvements based on this experience! Don't worry too much! (:

Your performance yesterday was, to be frank, really quite disappointing.
There are only 9 days left until the first audition. Do you guys really think you can pass the audition when you are not familiar at all with the songs?
An opportunity to go to the tour is extremely rare so please don't take everything for granted.
Do treasure our rehearsal time and fulfill your own responsibilities as a concertarian. This is only a matter of attitude. Read through the scores--don't only memorize the melodies and lyrics, but also take note of the dynamics, rests, tempo and think about what's behind the lyrics and how you're going to convey the message of the songs to the audience.
Also, please be reminded that it's one of our responsibilities to hand in absent/late slip if you're not attending the lesson/coming late. Do not simply vanish without notifying anyone. Be responsible to the choir, and to yourselves as a CONCERTARIAN.
I'm sure every one of us is able to do it if you're determined enough. Let's gayau together!

Please really really spend time practicing all songs as the audition is coming very soon, and since the music festival has almost come to an end, we expect a better attendance from now onwards. If you were absent it is your responsibility to take the initiative to ask and catch up with the things we've learnt. I hope we can achieve a higher efficiency during rehearsal time. Stop chit-chatting when other parts are singing. Show us your DETERMINATION and PASSION!

Deadline for ordering 晚禮服 is 12/3.
Kindly bring along the circular and go to 維多利校服公司 太子分店to order that.
Please be reminded that ALL Concertarians are required to have a 晚禮服, not only those joining the tour.

Hand in the small papers to Kallie and find Kallie if you do not have a paper.

Please start forming groups for tour first audition (only people who are going to tour need to be in a group)
Requirements of the groups:
1. around 10 people
2. must include all three parts

Deadlines:
1. 12/3 (Sat) 8pm 
-hand in group lists to Kallie (state your Chinese name and your part *indicate your semi-part also)
2. 13/3 (Sun) 12noon: inform Kallie if 
-you don't have a group but you are joining the tour; or
-you are not available on 28/3 for the first audition but you are joining the tour

Please note that the group lists you hand in might not be the finalized one as changes might be made when considering the overall balance and number of people of all groups. We will try our best to make as little changes as possible (:

Please be reminded that we will need to MEMORISE ALL SONGS for first audition.
Make sure you spend time on your own to practice ALL songs and be 200% familiarized with the songs!!! If you feel like you need some help with the songs please take the initiative to ask class committee!
